MARTA eyeing selling alcohol ads, rail station naming rights

MARTA is looking at aggressive new strategies to earn more from advertising, possibly including selling alcohol ads and station naming rights.
The transit agency says it hopes to maximize ad revenue from national, regional and local clients.
It’s looking to hire an advertising firm to handle the project. Bids are due by June 10. According to a request-for-proposals posted on MARTA’s website, the winning agency will get a five- to seven-year contract to post ads on the exteriors and interiors of rail cars and buses, display space within rail stations, and potentially newly added locations inside and outside of MARTA parking decks and MARTA structures.
