LETTER: Electronic cigarettes breaking the rules?
Advertising of cigarette and tobacco products can be dated back to the 1600s. Through the years the government has tried to keep the advertising of these products to a minimum, with surgeon general warnings placed on these products, as well as banning the advertising of these products on television. The government wanted to stop the advertising and stop making it appealing to the youth.
These companies claim that their product is not a tobacco product; maybe so, maybe they don’t have tobacco. However, the companies also claim that their product is a way to stop smoking.
