Hamilton school board considers using advertising as revenue source
By Mike Davis

The school board may have found an untapped revenue source in the struggle to fix its decaying facilities: Advertising. The school board is considering two policies that would allow companies to advertise on school grounds and school buses, which board member William Harvey said would lessen the districtís dependence on state aid and taxes.
If the board approves the policies at its Monday meeting, it wouldnít set anything in stone. Rather, the board would simply be allowed to discuss the possibility of letting corporations bid on ad space around athletic fields, on school buildings, in publications and the district website, and in any district productions aired on local media outlets.
