FC Dallas introduces Toyota as stadium naming rights partner

FC Dallas Stadium will take on the name of the automotive giant, with the surrounding complex also falling under the new brand. FC Dallas Stadium is no more. On Tuesday the Texas club announced a naming rights agreement with Toyota, changing the stadium’s name to Toyota Stadium, with the surrounding soccer complex taking on the name Toyota Soccer Center.

“Whether on the field or on the road, customers of both Toyota and FC Dallas share a passion for great products and great success,” said Brent Hillyer, vice president, Gulf States Toyota in a press release. “We are proud to partner with FC Dallas to sponsor this world-class stadium and complex, and are looking forward to supporting the team.”

The newly named stadium was the third soccer-specific venue built in the United States, and has housed MLS Cup finals, Dallas Cup and international matches along with other events outside the soccer realm. It was previously named Pizza Hut Park until the sponsorship agreement ran its course.
