Social, Mobile and 'Big Data' Will Be Main Topics at Advertising Week Confab
At first glance, Kardashian mother Kris Jenner, the E*Trade ETFC -0.78% baby, singer-songwriter John Mayer and Twitter seem to have little in common. Then again, the Advertising Week in New York conference tends to create strange bedfellows.
Roughly 90,000 advertising and marketing professionals are expected to participate in the 10th annual Advertising Week in New York, which begins Monday. The weeklong event, which includes roughly 250 seminars and parties, will seek to show off how well Madison Avenue has embraced digital marketing, such as social media to mobile advertising.
Digital advertising continues to be a bright spot in the ad industry and it is expected to grow nearly 14% in the U.S. to $42.26 billion this year, according to research firm eMarketer.
