Board Considers More Advertising At Schools


Advertising is everywhere…ball fields, Facebook, the pop machines at schools.

The Batesville school board acknowledges that advertising can bring in dollars, ultimately saving the taxpayer money because the corporation would not have to take from the general fund as often.

Advertising dominated much of the Batesville school board discussion Monday night. The superintendent presented pictures of a possible new digital football score board to replace the one at the high school field. Advertising surrounding the board would pay for the installation and board, and likely bring in additional revenue as businesses renew contracts.
