St. Francis School District Reevaluates Ad Program

The St. Francis School District is reevaluating a revenue-generating initiative involving advertisements in district schools.
Two years ago, district officials agreed to sell advertising space in district schools. The ads had themes of health, nutrition, or education and were placed on lockers or walls.
The project was a partnership with School Media of Andover, which said there was a potential to raise $240,000 a year. In the first year of the project, the district generated $55,000 for the program through 12 ads, which was used for technology and communication initiatives in the schools.
