DRPA considers selling naming rights on PATCO stations
By EILEEN STILWELL
Strapped for cash, the finance committee of the Delaware River Port Authority Wednesday agreed to investigate a new revenue stream: naming rights on PATCO Hi-Speedline stations.
Since SEPTA sold the name of the Pattison Station in South Philadelphia to AT&T in August in a five-year deal valued at $5.4 million, the finance committee decided to explore possibilities with companies located near PATCO’s 13 stations.
“We think there is fairly significant revenue to be generated,” said DRPA Deputy CEO Michael J. Conallen Jr.
