SD2 board talks signage policy and superintendent search
By Rob Rodgers
Billings School District 2 trustees are looking at ways to give administrators more flexibility in how they allow businesses to advertise on school property.
The board, which met Monday night, assigned a committee to review the district’s policy on advertising at its schools. Trustees were concerned that too lax a policy would lead to company logos on school buildings and school name signs.
But trustees also saw the value of allowing schools to sell advertising space and naming rights at stadiums and fields.
