Bethlehem schools may sell ads on district property

The Bethlehem Area School District may have a place for it.
The school board’s Human Resources Committee gave preliminary approval Monday to a new policy that would allow the district to sell commercial advertising space on buildings, buses and other property to generate revenue at a time when the state is cutting back on education spending.
The policy closely mirrors one the Parkland School Board approved last month to sell ads in buses, said Russell Giordano, Bethlehem’s human resources director.
