Athletic programs eye new options for ad space

Shrinking school budgets have athletic directors looking for new ways to raise revenue for their sports programs and a new national recommendation might help them find it.
The National Federal of State High School Associations has adopted a new policy that allows schools to place advertising logos on their football fields.
It’s not uncommon to see advertisements in high school gymnasiums or on outdoor scoreboards, but the high school football field had until now been devoid of sponsorships.
