Missouri: Area District Considers School Bus Ads

A bill in the Missouri Legislature would allow school districts to put advertisements on the side of school buses, a potential stream of revenue for those districts.

Seventeen states currently allow districts to sell bus advertising. Missouri laws don’t specify whether it’s legal or not, but the new bill would clarify that it’s legal.

The people who have researched the idea said it wouldn’t bring in a ton of money, but many districts are in a position where every little bit helps.
