Target gets big role on Top Chef episode
Much of the program was dedicated to a midnight cooking contest inside a New York-area Target — the gimmick being that the contestants could only use what they found in the store.
Apart from the glamour shots of long, red aisles, Top Chef gave the Minneapolis retailer a chance to show off its range of appliances, cutlery and its expanded grocery effort. That last one got an underline from the show’s host, who assured contestants that “You don’t need to worry about ingredients. Target has an expanded store with a varied selection of fresh produce and groceries.”
