Resorts World Casino in Queens may buy name of A train subway stop

New York Daily News

The success of Resorts World Casino in Queens has led to a full-time A train stop nearby and may lead to a renaming of the station. The operators of the casino at Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens are interesting in buying naming rights to the A-train stop there.
The Aqueduct Racetrack station — located on a spur off the main line — was upgraded earlier this year from a part-time seasonal stop to a year-round facility because of the casino’s popularity.

Genting, operator of the Resorts World Casino, declined to comment on the talks officials described as preliminary. A Metropolitan Transportation Authority official mentioned the company’s interest during a state Senate hearing on authority’s finances.
The MTA changed the name of the Atlantic Ave./Pacific St. subway complex to Atlantic Ave./Barclays Center for $200,000 a year under a naming rights deal with Forest City Ratner, developer of the Nets home arena.
